TELIAMURA, Oct 5 (TIWN): A terrible road accident has claimed a life amid ongoing adverse weather in Teliamura’s Khamtingbari area.

The incident happened on the national highway, killing 1 person on the spot and leaving another critically injured.

The incident happened on Saturday at around 2.30 pm after an 18-wheeler truck No- NL 01 AH 3411 was hit by a biscuit-carrying vehicle No- TR 01 AY 1779 .

The biscuit-carrying vehicle literally overturned on the truck.

It took around an hour to rescue the biscuit-carrying vehicle driver and another person who was beside the driver.

SDPO Pannalal Sen rushed to the spot. Both of the injured persons were brought to Teliamura Hospital, and the doctor declared that one was already expired whereas the other was critical and referred to GB hospital.
