KAMALPUR, Feb 6 (TIWN): The rampant corruption at TSECL Kamalpur division crossed every limit. And the corruption happy officials left no chance of gobbling money. Even in the cases of huge outstanding of consumer bills, the DGM and the Senior Manager happily pocketing amounts on the monthly basis on the condition of non-disconnection of consumer lines.

 In the Kamalpur division, the TSECL authority initiated disconnection drive of electricity connections in the case of outstanding bills.

In this drive, the connection having even 1, 000 rupees outstanding were disconnected. But at the same time, many connections with lakhs of thousands of outstanding got relieved.

At Manikbhander, one businessman Ranjit Roy has an outstanding of 1, 00, 000 rupees. Another resident of Manikbhander Bijoy Paul also has an outstanding of 1, 00, 000 rupees. Sujit kr. Dey, Bijoy Deb also have outstanding of 1, 00, 000 rupees each.

A TSECL employee residing at Kamalpur sub-divisional quarter complex namely Pabitra Kr. Das has an outstanding of 20, 000 rupees. A Sub Inspector of Police Sukhdeb Satnami also has an outstanding of 25, 000 rupees. In each case, there are some illegal transactions of the consumers with the DGM and the Senior Manager, according to the TSECL division.
