KAILASHAHAR, Sep 28 (TIWN): Common men blocked road in Kailashahar protesting against miserable road conditions there. Talking to media, the agitators said, due to the road conditions, every day they face trouble to cross the road. High chances of accidents always prevail and all these reasons forced them to block road in the area. Local youths organized the blockade in Samarumpar Gram Panchayat’s Ward No-3.
During the protest, when the agitators were talking to media, local BJP leaders reached the spot and started shouting at them, which triggered tension in the area.
Locals said, for a long time the road which is lined by BSF camp has remained in deplorable shape. At the same time, no proper drainage system is there causing heavy troubles during the monsoon.
Many times, the villagers told the PWD Office but no positive result was seen.
Due to the protest, vehicles remained stranded for hours in the locality. Later police reached the spot and talked to the agitators. After receiving assurance from the authority about road repairing, the locals unblocked the road.
