AGARTALA, Sep 25 (TIWN): In a brutal attack on a housewife, her husband hit her with a hammer, leaving her severely injured.

The incident happened in Kamalpur, Bamanchara.

Mahesh Gour (40), the accused allegedly tortures his wife regularly. Due to extreme torture, the woman left the home and today she returned for the sake of her children.

Seeing her, Mahesh Gaur hit her with a hammer.

Local people called the Fire Brigade and rushed her to hospital.

From BSM hospital, she was referred to Dhalai district hospital.
