AGARTALA, Sep 14 (TIWN): During regular checking at Churabibari Naka point, a huge quantity of Ganja was seized by the Police from a truck. The twelve-wheeler vehicle bearing no-AS17C/6042 was passing by the Churaibari PS area when the on-duty cop stopped the vehicle driver for inspection. Meanwhile, the driver managed to escape, leaving the car on the spot.
After searching, police seized a huge quantity of Ganja from the vehicle’s secret hiding places.
Though the driver escaped, police arrested a man named Nur Islam (40), S/O-Pakhi Mia out of suspicion. He is a resident of Roa area in Panisagar, was roaming in the area for a while which alarmed police to arrest him.
A total 110 Kg Ganja was seized from the truck which was transporting outside Tripura.
