‘Rs. 100 Crores given for Power Dept to overcome Flood damages’ : Power Minister

AGARTALA, Sep 13 (TIWN): Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath in a press meeting told media that Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has allocated Rs. 100 crores as part of post-flood compensation to the department.”
Earlier, the Minister claimed, it would need over Rs. 600 crores to tackle the situation for the power department.
“I know Rs. 100 crore is less but still I thank CM Dr. Manik Saha for arranging the fund that early. He also assured that more fund will be allocated,” said Ratan Lal Nath.
Recently flood affected the state Tripura causing massive losses to each department from Agriculture to Power. People lost homes, public and private properties were damaged.
