AGARTALA, Sep 9 (TIWN): Youth Congress staged protest at the JRBT office seeking a waiting list publication for the JRBT recruitment. Talking to media, Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman stated that many candidates won’t join in the job and many candidates won’t join Group-D because they are already selected for Group-C and so to fill up the vacant Group-D posts the JRBT must keep an waiting list, so that if any candidate does not join, the post can be filled up by the candidates in the waiting list. Youth Congress during protests at the JRBT office accused JRBT of being involved in corruption citing how an ST candidate with 80% disability did not get the job.
“As an opposition representative, I raised the issue in the Assembly. We raised it for the benefit of the unemployed youth who need the job,” said Barman.
“I said, out of 2500 posts, around thousands of youth would not join. So I prosed to create a waiting list of 1000 to 1200 so that the recruitment can be done. It’s logical for the unemployed youths, but when we saw the results, we found, no waiting list exists. We also proposed the keep a replacement list for TPSC but this government seems deaf and so there is no point of proposing anything to the government,” Barman told media.
