Public said, “Powercut is a daily routine here. Every day several times the power connection is cut. Evenings are dark all the time, because it’s everyday routine that are goes under shutdown.”

“It’s not a routine shutdown only. Because of fault lines and various similar issues, there is a constant disruption in the power connectivity,” an agitator said.

“Many times, we complained about this to the authorities but they won’t solve our problems,” he said.

The agitators also alleged that the officials asked them to fix their own connections as they can not come to the spot.

Locals demanded efficient service in their area, as they are paying equal bills just like other consumers of the state.

Due to the road blockade for hours in the daytime, vehicles remained stranded on both sides of the road.

Later officials reached the spot and talked to the agitators requesting to withdraw the protest and assured them that their problems would be solved.
