AGARTALA, Sep 9 (TIWN): A BSF jawan was critically injured after he was shot.

However, how this incident happened, BSF did not clarify that.

The incident happened in Amtali BOP-lined India-Bangladesh border area at around noon.

The on-duty BSF Hawan named B Arun Dilip was rushed to Kamalpur Hospital. Due to his serious health conditions, he was referred to GB  hospital from where he was referred to GB Hospital.

Journalists were prevented by other BSF Jawans when they tried to take photos.

Police have started an investigation into this matter.
