A bamboo-carrying vehicle at high speed had hit a boy named Riaz Ahmed which left him critically injured.

He was rushed to hospital but died.

The incident happened at Melaghar Indira Nagar. The driver Amir Hossian and his assistant were arrested by police.

The vehicle has been seized by Melaghar police.
