AGARTALA / KUMARGHAT, Sep 7 (TIWN): A potentially disastrous accident was averted when a train in Tripura narrowly escaped a major mishap after an electric wire became entangled with the train's wheels. The incident highlights the need for regular maintenance and safety checks to prevent such close calls in the future. The incident happened in Kuamrghat, triggering heavy tension among the passengers.
Approximately 2 kilometers before the Kumarghat Railway station, the incident happened.
The train was heading towards Shilchar from Agartala. For hours, the train was seen struck.
Though the exact reason behind the incident remains unclear but public suspects in Tripura electrification of railway service is going on. Probably due to this, such an incident happened, causing significant disruptions to the train services.
Passengers faced immense troubles due to the train service’s disruptions.
