KILLA (Tripura ADC), Sep 7 (TIWN): The drinking water crisis in ADC areas is not a new complaint and Killa has been suffering from severe water crisis problems always.

Today, locals blocked roads protesting against the severe water crisis in their area.

Due to the blockade, vehicle movement stopped for hours there on Saturday.

Locals said, for last few months, there has been a crisis in drinking water.

They complained it to local MLA, leaders and DWS office but nobody came up with any solution which forced them to go on protest today.

“Before each election, they (politicians) visit our area and promise that this time the problem will be solved but every time, their promises turned false,” said an agitating woman.

Common men were stuck on the road due to the protest.

On being informed, Police and DWS officials reached the spot. After a long time, the officials were able to convince the agitators to withdraw their protest.
