AGARTALA, Sep 7 (TIWN): Tripura Rehabilitation Plantation Corporation Limited (TRPC) Chairperson Patal Kanya Jamatia on Saturday reacted to media questions with a surprise after she was asked about flood related compensations.
As the TRPC is meant to help in the rehabilitation, journalists asked if she is aware of the funding to the rubber cultivators who faced losses due to flood.
In response, Jamatia said, “TRPC does not have own fund and so it’s up the government but TRPC is with the people.”
No department has fund unless it’s allocated by the Finance. Tripura CM’s relief fund also received heavy donations. Question is, did Patal Kanya asked for the funding which might help the people or she was not at all bother about the minimum needs of the people.
