AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Sep 4 (TIWN): Opposition CPI-M, Congress parties protested at Tripura Assembly voicing against Minister Sudhansghu Das’s controversial Facebook post which he deleted later. The issue was raised by Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman questioning the neutrality of the Minister’s statement. The ruling party members tried to react back and slammed the opposition, but none of them actually stood up to speak, except the Minister himself fuelling more chaos.
The opposition staged a protest before the Speaker of the house and then walked out.
Minister Sudhansghu Das on his Facebook alleged that Hindu temples are attacked across the state and so, all Hindus would be united. The statement came amid police failed to find out the culprits behind temple vandalising event in Ranir Bazar after which many minority family houses were set on fire by miscreants.
