AGARTALA, Sep 1 (TIWN): In a shocking incident, at least five persons were injured in a brutal attack by miscreants, when a family organized a get-together party centering ‘Rakhi’ festival. The hospitalized victims said, the get-together party was organized at Samiran Karmakar’s home, who is 58 years old and a teacher by profession. According to the victims, when the get-together party was going on and everyone sat for dinner, suddenly some miscreants reached the house and started abusing language. Two police constables were accompanying the miscreants.
Then the house owner’s wife reached the spot and seeing that police were accompanying the people, opened the door. As soon as the door was opened, the miscreants attacked the home, and started vandalizing everything.
Both the police constables were standing muted.

The miscreants were asking, “Where are the girls… where have you hidden them?”
“We were shocked by hearing those conversations. We all are from different backgrounds, different communities, and different professions. My sister planned this Rakhi-festival long back but we could not make it due to our profession. Now, it’s weekend and so we finally met in Samiran Karmakar’s house. Whoever has done it, must be politically backed,” said an injured person named Rocky Murasingh.
The injured persons are – Jayanta Chakraborty, Jadab Murasing, Rocky Murasingh, Koushik Murasingh and Jocky Murasingh.
