Tripura Flood : Sonamura’s Gomati river water level still at Danger Mark

AGARTALA, Aug 27 (TIWN): The flood situation is right now in Tripura under control with the rain stopped since August 25.
However, revenue department in press meet informed media that Sonamura area still remains critical as the water level is running yet high.
Total 492 relief camps are still active in the state.

11 river embankments have been badly damaged in a massive flood that hit Tripura recently.
Addressing media, Kiran Gitte, IAS, said, all the rivers’ embankments need urgent repairing as they were badly damaged.
“If the river banks are not fixed immediately, then it may turn worse,” said Kiran Gitte.
