BELONIA, Aug 26 (TIWN): When most clubs in Tripura are still determined to continue Durga puja celebration with high budgets which they decided before the flood, Belonia’s Mahamaya club showed humanity and dropped Durga puja budget. The club will conduct puja but just for the sake of rituals. According to the club members, it will be an extremely selfish act on their part to seek Durga puja donations from people who are reeling under flood-led losses.
Only club members will contribute some donations, and the puja will be organized to maintain the minimum rituals.
The club has also requested other clubs to come forward and instead of imposing donations on people, rather they should help the people.
