AGARTALA, Aug 25 (TIWN): CM Dr. Manik Saha visited Indrajit Dey’s home who died in flood water in an attempt to save his neighbors. The incident happened in the Agartala-6 constituency during a heavy flood hit the state. Indrajit saved a mother and her son but during the rescue operation, he drowned.
After meeting the family, CM said, “I have asked the DM to fix their home and as he was the only earning person in the family, so I have ordered to allocate a social pension for the parents.”
“Disaster management would pay Rs. 4 Lakhs which is preserved for such victims but money can’t bring him back. I pray to God for his peace and well-being wherever he is,” said CM.
