KOLKATA, Aug 16 (TIWN): After the RG College student's rape and murder case was handed-over to CBI, Trinamool stormed into road led by Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee seeking capital punishment of the culprits. CM Mamata Banerjee marched a rally along with her party workers, raising slogans against the incident, demanded immediate justice to the case. It can be mentioned here that Kolkata police within 7 hours of the incident arrested the accused person but under court’s order the case was handed over to CBI after many petitions were filed in the court seeking CBI probe.
The rally gathered at a point and raised slogan “Not Punishment, we want Death Penalty. Not Drama, we want Justice.”
The chief minister earlier accused Communist and BJP for trying to create a lawless situation by using this unfortunate incident. She marched today seeking immediate completion of CBI investigation and punishment of the actual culprits.
