AGARTALA, Aug 11 (TIWN): After one and half years of marriage, staff nurse Sharmistha Banik died after delivering her premature baby.
As per the family statement, Sharmistha’s health deteriorated when she was 6 months pregnant. Then to save both mother and the baby, a premature delivery was done.
Since then, both mother and the baby are in ICU. Baby’s condition remains uncertain at GB hospital.
Her husband Santanu Chowdhury and family members are devastated by this incident.
