‘Voting remained Peaceful’ : West Tripura DM

AGARTALA, Aug 8 (TIWN): West District Magistrate Vishal Kumar on Thursday said that the voting remained peaceful across West Tripura.
Regarding the Dukli blocks’s Nischintpur, Motonagar panchayats where he visited, Kumar said, “I have seen voters casting their votes and no untoward incident was seen.”
“There are some scattered complaints and we are checking the matters and making sure, everyone can cast votes,” he said.
Tripura Panchayat election for 29% seats started since morning. BJP had won 71% seats uncontested.
