TIWN July 30, 2024

AGARTALA, July 30 (TIWN): Back in 2018, before the Assembly Election, Tripura BJP as the main opposition party in Tripura promised in its Vision Document if BJP came to power, then all contractual employees will be regularized, now officially declared that can not regularize the government employees who are in the contract because Tripura does not have any such law that permits contract employees to be regularized.
Staging a protest, the contractual employees at the Health Dept Office said, “On July 25, Health Dept issued an order stating it does not have any policy that permits to regularize the contractual employees. We are here to protest against this order.”
“We have been demanding our regularization for a long time. Before 2018, BJP promised to regularize, and then after 2018 Biplab Deb as the chief minister continued to promise that the government would review the situation but now, taking the opposite turn, the government issued an order saying, we can’t be regularized,” said an agitating contractual employee.
