CHURAIBARI, July 5 (TIWN): Seven Rohingya refugees were arrested by the Churaibari police, North Tripura District on their way to Hyderabad by night bus.
Among them five adults and two are children.
It is known that the police personnel patrolling at Naka point of Churaibari police station on National Highway No. 8 Assam Agartala caught a vehicle bearing number ML05T.
After searching two men and three women were detained out of suspicion. On being interrogated, it was found that all of them are Rohigyas.
The arrested persons are : Abdul Elahi (22), Abdul Sukkur (19), Rumi Begum (19), Rozina Begum (22), Chakhina Begum (18) and Rumi Begum's two daughters.
A case has been registered at the local police station under section 61(2)(a/143(3) of BNS and 14(A)/14(C) of Foreign Act 3 of the passport act of the Indian Penal Code Act number 31.
