AGARTALA, June 24 (TIWN): An on-duty police officer Santosh Debbarma has died of heart attack in Jirania.

The deceased Santosh Debbarma was a sub-inspector.

He felt sick after reaching the police station followed by his whole day duty outside amid the heatwaves.

Santosh Debbarma was rushed to the GB hospital but died on the way.

His colleagues said, Santosh Debbarma had complained about chest pain and immediately was taken to hospital.
