AGARTALA, June 24 (TIWN): With its traditional approach to election commission, the CPI-M once again has expressed concerns about possible poll rigging in the upcoming Panchayat Poll. In this regard CPI-M leaders met the CEO at Election Department office on Monday and sought a free and fair election in the upcoming Panchayat poll.
Talking to the media, CPI-M leader Pabitra Kar said, the BJP wants that the opposition’s 25% voters would not vote.
“In 2019, the BJP won over 90% of seats uncontested. This time also, they are planning the same and so we demand an online nomination submission’s permission,” added Pabitra Kar.
The CPI-M leaders also alleged ongoing attacks on the party supporters houses, saying, “The miscreants are not even sparing BJP’s own party workers who belong to the opposite faction.”
