Many houses have gone under water, households sheltered in health centers in Kadamtala

KADAMTALA, June 20 (TIWN): Due to continuous heavy rains for three days, the situation in Kurti village panchayat under Kadamtala block of North Tripura district is waterlogged.
A large area of the local village panchayat is under water due to continuous rain since last Monday morning.
Among them, the condition of Ward No. Manik Nagar has become dire.
Sixty to seventy families are living in that area.
At present, fifteen to twenty houses are inundated and roads in front of most of the houses are underwater.
The water-trapped people of Manik Nagar area said that the water level is increasing in the Kurti area due to the inflow of water from the mountain river. The government has not provided any relief or assistance to them yet.
