AGARTALA, June 10 (TIWN): Citing extreme intolerance a TSECL worker Mithan Das was allegedly murdered by mob after they turned on an electric line by entering a power office when the TSECL workers were fixing an issue.
The shocking incident happened in Behalabari, Khowai.
According to Govt officer who visited the spot, few linemen were working to fix an issue over the electric posts. For safety, they turned off the whole area’s power connection, but at that time, a group of people broke the power office’s lock and turned on the line. It caused the death of the TSECL worker.
The official condemned the inhuman and intolerant behavior of the locals. An FIR was lodged after the incident by the power department.
