AGARTALA, June 4 (TIWN): Amid BJP’s unexpected national results that stands around 240, contradicting BJP’s claim about crossing 400, Tripura BJP led by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has stamped a remarkable victory in both Lok Sabha seats. Along with Lok Sabha seats, BJP also secured a by-poll seat with a huge vote sharing defeating the Congress and CPI-M’s alliance candidates under India. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha thanked the BJP workers for their dedication to the party and also thanked the voters for keeping faith in PM Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Briefing about the vote sharing, BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee said, “In West Tripura total numbers of voters are 14,61,836. 81% and total vote casting was 81%. The BJP candidate got 72.85% with a total vote share of 8,81,341. Congress received 6, 17,578 votes less than the BJP candidate.”
“In East Tripura, total voters are 7,77,447 and 80% vote was cast. The BJP candidate got 13,95, 000 votes with a share of 68.54%. The opposition INDIA candidate got 4,86,819 votes less than BJP,” said Bhattacharjee.
In the end CM Dr. Manik Saha asked the opposition, why are not they raising the EVM issue today ?
“Nobody will raise EVM scam allegation today. It proves, the opposition opposed just politically,” added CM.
