AGARTALA, June 1 (TIWN): Agartala Railway Police arrested a 20-year-old in connection to pistol recovery incident at Agartala Railway station. The arrested girl Remi Debbarma was arrested after interrogating two more arrested accused who were caught by police with pistols on May 24. Agartala GRPS OC-Tapas Das said, she would be produced before the court seeking police remand. Whether they arrested persons are connected to arm smuggling like big rackets or not, police could not reveal yet.
On May 24, two youth Karan Debbarma (24) and Priya Debbarma (22) were arrested from Agartala Railway Station by Railway Police with pistol and cartridges. Both are residents of Khowai and reached Tripura with this illegal equipment.
Today’s arrestee Remi Debbarma is also a local of Khowai.
