AGARTALA, May 30 (TIWN): Tripura State Electricity Department monitored TSECL has been undergoing tough time restoring the power services in the state, after the cyclone Remal affected the power services across Tripura.
In a press meet, the Power Department stated that soon the services will be restored and the department is working tirelessly to overcome the situation.
It has been informed that around 850 posts, and over 100 transformers were damaged due to the storm. However, 55% of the problems are solved and more 344 posts need to be restored.
Abhishek Chandra, Secretary of Power Department, Debashish Sarkar, Managing Director of Power Department and Sarat Das and others were present in this press conference at the Secretariat.
In a separate press meet, Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath said the government is facing 2.50 crores rupees in losses due to cyclone Remal.
