AGARTALA, May 27 (TIWN): In a tragic road accident at least one person has died and more eight are injured.

Each of the injured persons are daily workers.

The deceased has been identified as Jahangir Hossain.

The injured persons were immediately admitted to Bishalgarh hospital.

Doctor declared Jahangir Hossain dead after bringing him to hospital and eight of the workers were sent to GB hospital.

The injured workers are : Faruk Mia, Dulal Saha, Dipak Shil, Milan Mia, Subal Mia, Suhel Mia, Abdul Mia, Ripan Mia, Nasir Mia.

The truck driver involved in the accident managed to escape from spot after the accident.
