Road blockade reported in Kamalpur Jamthum area over Electricity outages and Drinking water crisis. All local sources of drinking water source have dried up due to extreme heat. Now, the only source of drinking water is the supply pipeline which remains nonfunctional.

The local people informed the administrative officials and local leaders several times but nothing happened. Seeing no option the local people blocked road this Wednesday.

A local man from the blockade said they would not withdraw their road blockade until they received a positive response from the Higher authority. People were trapped on both sides due to the road blockade. Officials of Durga Chaumuhani block later rushed to the spot after receiving the road blockade news.

The locals also alleged that for past 10 years, the roads remained in pathetic shape as a result the local people often face difficulties in taking patients to the hospitals.

However, it is to be seen whether local people’s demands would fulfilled or not.
