AGARTALA, May 3 (TIWN): Various organizations staged protest in Tripura after the tragic death of Dipraj Debbarma in a road accident on his way to Assam. CPI-M on Saturday demanded the government should take care of the family. Cooperative Bank came under controversy for putting its venue in Assam for Tripura job candidates. But the Bank did not change its decision and amid bad weather, many candidates rushed to Assam. On way to Assam, the accident snatched life and many injured.
“Dipraj’s unexpected death has devastated the family. He was recently married. His wife should be given a job,” said CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury.
“We also demand that the government should take care of all the injured persons. It should bear their medical expenditure.” Said Chowdhury.
“Over three and half thousands of candidates had to go for Assam for the exam. Where would these people live ? Also, it’s a long journey and how would bear the expenditure ? Why so much stress was imposed on the unemployed job aspirants?” asked Jitendra Chowdhury.
Dipraj died on May 2nd in a road accident on his way to Assam. He was a candidate for the State Cooperative job exam with a venue in Assam.
