AGARTALA, March 9 (TIWN): In a major victory for Anganwadi employees, Tripura High Court has asked the state government to clear the pending gratuities at the earlier. Briefing about the High Court order, Advocate Puroshottom Roy Barman said, “Tripura High Court Justice S.Datta. Purukayastha has delivered a very important judgment clearing the gratuities of the Anganwadi workers under ICDS scheme. The writ petition was filed last year and Supreme Court already cleared the statement in favour of the employees rights.”
“It was said by ICDS that the Anganwadi employees are not entitled to the gratuities, but High Court has squashed the order, preserving rights of the employees,” added Purushottom Roy Barman.
