On Sunday late night, fire was caught in a house due to an electrical short circuit. The incident occurred at Mashintila market in Bagbasa PS area of North District.

The injured in this incident are Dilip Nath (50) and his wife Aparna Nath (45). Aparna Nath said about this fire incident, the husband and wife were sleeping in the house at night and suddenly they felt the heat of the fire. When they woke up observed a fire caught in their house. They tried to get out through the window of the house but failed.

Later they got burnt while leaving the door of the house. Bagbasa police along with Dharmanagar fire brigade rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident. The injured were brought to the district hospital. They are currently being treated there.

Meanwhile, the police of Bagbasa police station started the investigation after receiving the information about this incident.

It is suspected that the fire is believed to have started from an electric short circuit. Bagbasa police have started investigating the incident.
