AGARTALA, April 13 (TIWN): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are scheduled to visit Tripura next week to address Lok Sabha poll rallies. Whereas Amit Shah will be joining a rally in Kumarghat on April 15, preparations have started in this regard. A meeting was held by BJP Minister Tinku Roy with regional parties Tipra Motha and IPFT in Agartala keeping Amit Shah’s arrival on schedule. West Tripura election will be held on April 19 whereas the East Tripura election will be held on April 26. By-poll for 7-Ramnagar also will take place on April 19, the same day when West Tripura Lok Sabha poll will happen.
Talking to media, Minister Tinku Roy said, “The entire Dhalai District’s people are excited about Amit Shah’s arrival. We are trying to organize everything smoothly by talking to the alliance party leaders. A massive rally will be organized on that day. As the Kumarghat field is not so big as Astabal fie;d, still around 40,000 people’s participation is expected on that day.”
Tinku Roy said, the meeting also exceeded discussions about PM Modi’s visit, which is scheduled on April 17.
Tipra Motha supremo Pradyot Manikya, East Tripura candidate Kriti Singh and IPFT leaders also attended the meeting.
