AGARTALA, April 3 (TIWN): BJP’s by-poll candidate for the Ramnagar constituency Dipak Majumder said, he is expecting a landslide victory for him in this upcoming by-poll.

Dipak Majumder has been consistently saying, he is lucky to get the chance to become MLA candidate for the Ramnagar seat, conveying his respect to the former MLA of the constituency Surajit Datta.

“Surajit Datta was an excellent person. I feel very honored to represent him. So many times, he talked to me expressing what he wanted to do for the area. I am also a local here and people know me very well. I assure you, I will try my best to take care of Surajit Da’s visions for Ramnagar,” said the Mayor.

“I know everyone in this area personally. Either CPI-M or from any party, all are the same to me. I promise, I will be the MLA of everyone,” said Dipak Majumder.

Dipak Majumder has been the Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation and has been nominated as the Ramnagar constituency candidate for BJP in the by-poll.

The by-poll was necessitated after the incumbent MLA Surajit Datta passed away at 70 years old due to critical diseases. He died on December 27, 2023.
