AGARTALA, April 3 (TIWN): Reacting to CPI-M and Congress’s vote sharing doubts and last Assembly poll’s calculation which stated CPI-M votes moved to Congress but Congress votes did not transfer to CPI-M, Congress MLA Sudip Barman said, “This is not at all true. There may be a section that did not vote for CPI-M but this time, the calculation will be different. A successful transfer of votes between two parties will happen. It will cause a defeat of BJP in Lok Sabha Poll.”
CPI-M State Secretary and Leader of the Opposition Jitendra Chowdhury was also present with Sudip Barman in the press meet organized at Agartala Press Club.

Reacting to Tipra Motha’s claim that Jitendra Chowdhury won after not giving candidate by Tipra Motha in Sabroom, he said, “This is actually an evidence, if Tipra Motha did not support BJP from backdoor, then CPI-M could have won the 2023 Assembly Election.”
Slamming Tipra Motha supremo Pradyot Manikya, Barman said, “He is no more a Maharaj. He is a Mahajan and that’s why he sold off the Tiprasa people and sentiment, putting his sister as Lok Sabha candidate and the reason behind her candidature is not unknown.”
Tripura Lok Sabha election will be held on April 19 and April 26 for West Tripura and East Tripura constituencies.
