AGARTALA, April 1 (TIWN): A man named Sundar Ali has been arrested in cow-smuggling allegations by police, Dharmanagar police said on Monday.
Arrested Sundar Ali is a top BJP leader in his locality which has put the party in trouble ahead of the upcoming polls.
The incident took place in Fulkandibari in Dharmanagar yesterday night in connection to arrest of another suspect's interrogation.
Recently Litan Das of Panisagar was arrested on 26th March after 9 cows were recovered from a vehicle.
After interrogating Litan Das, police have arrested Sundar Ali.
