AGARTALA, Feb 29 (TIWN): Under the initiative of Tapashili Jati Kalyan Dept, a program was organized to provide financial assistance to the small businesses of paper machines, musical instruments and leather artists and cleaners among the beneficiaries of the Scheduled Castes at West District at Rabindra Bhavan.

Department Minister Sudhanshu Das, Member of Legislative Assembly Meena Rani Sarkar, Mayor of AMC Deepak Majumdar and others were present on the occasion.

52 beneficiaries of West District were given a washing machine, 48 beneficiaries were given musical instruments, 36 leather artists were given financial assistance of 10,000 taka and 86 sanitation workers were given financial assistance of 10,000 taka. A total of 222 beneficiaries were assisted in West District.
