AGARTALA, Feb 29 (TIWN): While addressing at Pragna Bhawan in Tripura Women Commission organized program, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said, women need a platform and if they are provided with the platform, they can perform better than men in many sectors. “In our students' lives, we always could see that women are sincere and they can performance better than men in studies. I think, they inherit the quality by birth. I would say, it’s in their DNA,” said Dr Manik Saha.
“At home also, men often are seen as superior but when crisis begins, they are women, who take the lead in crisis management,” added CM.
“Earlier self-help groups were in miserable condition but now women are fully utilizing the self-help groups and becoming self-dependent. All these were possible because of PM Modi,” said Saha.
The chief minister also cited, how under Prime Minister Modi the President of India is now a woman.
CM was addressing Pragna Bhawan in ‘Empowering Women Farmers in Tripura’, organized by Tripura Commission for Women and sponsored by National Commission for Women.
