KUMARGHAT, Feb 28 (TIWN): In a weird situation, students of Dhansingh Chowdhury school were forced to write exams in Bengali with English question papers. The incident happened on Tuesday in the Chemistry examination. The students were expecting their questions in Bengali but with a shock, the students were served with English question papers. When the students asked for Bengali questions, the teachers could not provide them. This caused massive resentment among the students and the guardians.
Today, the parents and the students protested in the school seeking a solution to the matter.
“We are so afraid. It is being heard now that the next exams also will be held with English question papers,” a student said.
A guardian said, “When schools send requests for question papers, they have to select between English or Bengali scripts. The teachers must have ticked the English script. That’s why it happened.”
Talking to school principal Tarun Kumar Debbarma he said, “It happened due to a technical error. Also, we had shortage of questions and sp we provided English question papers to students. It will not happen again. There is nothing to fear about the upcoming tests. All students will get Bengali script for the upcoming examinations.”
