AGARTALA, Feb 28 (TIWN): All Tripura Blind Association members placed a deputation to the ICAT Dept Director seeking relief from alleged mental harassment in the ICAT department.

The Association members alleged that Govt has recruited blind employees but some people in the department are mentally as well as verbally abusing the blind employees.

The Association asked the department to recruit an officer in each department to take care of physically challenged employees (as per 2016 law).

They also alleged, that whereas Govt promoted many employees from Group-D to Group-C, the blind employees were not promoted. They said, such ‘discrimination’ must be stopped.
