UDAIPUR, Feb 27 (TIWN): A 50-bedded maternal and child health building for mothers and children has been started in Udaipur District hospital.

Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha inaugurated the building in the presence of Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy.

“The cost for this project is Rs. 9 crores. But, our Govt since it came to power, prioritized health services for development,” said CM Dr. Manik Saha.

“Health service of any state or nation is the parameter for the development. That’s why Ayushman Bharat was launched. In Tripura also, it was launched successfully but when I found that some people are still in distress and need help, our Govt started CM Jana Arogya Yojana, a parallel health scheme to serve the rest of the population,” said CM Saha.
