AGARTALA, Feb 19 (TIWN): STGT candidates demanded recruitment and appeared before the TRBT office once again on Monday. Talking to the media in front of the TRBT office, a job aspirant said, “We had completed the exams in 2022 but so far the result has not yet been published. We want a short of clarification from the education department. We demand all the TET qualifiers’ recruitment together. We also demand the recruitment should be completed fast, as the election is approaching. Once the election is declared, then the recruitment will be paused. So, we are repeatedly requesting the government to appoint us and to save us from the uncertainly.”
Reacting to Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha’s statement that they can’t be recruited now due to an ongoing court case, the job applicants said they found nothing on the Supreme Court’s website about their case.
“There is no teachers’ recruitment case pending on the Supreme court website. It needs to be clarified,” said a job aspirant.
“Until we get a solution, there will be no rest. We are not here to protest but to request the government for our recruitment and we have faith that the government will fulfill our demands and recruit all STGT candidates at a time,” said a job candidate.
The unemployed youths said in the last 17 months more than 20 times they appeared before the authority seeking recruitment.
