AGARTALA, Feb 14 (TIWN): Agartala Ward No-40’s Goddess Saraswati idol which is 40 feet long has drawn much attention from the public. Centering this puja, a fair like situation has been created in the area. In other words, this 40 feet long Saraswati idol is the main center of attraction this year on Saraswati puja. People from various parts of the state and school, and college students are visiting to have a glimpse of the idol, taking photos and selfies. Festive temperament has gripped schools, colleges and all educational institutions in Tripura as Saraswati puja has been celebrated.
This festival is considered as the biggest celebration, especially for schools and colleges where students, and teachers participate in the joint celebration.
In the morning, prayers were offered to Goddess Saraswati, and ‘prasad’ (devotional food) distributions were held. In the evening, many schools, and colleges organize cultural programs or gatherings with musical instruments.
Centering the festival, the security system was also beefed up across the state.
