AGARTALA, Feb 13 (TIWN): After Tripura Govt accepted Tiprasa students’ demand to allow Roman script for Kokborok languages in TBSE exams followed by Monday strike, Tipra Motha MLA, opposition leader Animesh Debbarma requested Tripura Govt to publish books with both Bengali and Roman script, so that students can study well. He also demanded that the Kokborok language must be taught at the school level so that the communication between Bengali and Tiprasa and all other communities gets stronger.
“I can speak in Bengali and when I speak my Bengali brothers and sisters can understand but if someone can not speak Bengali there will be a problem in the communication. So promoting the language will help to improve the communications between these communities and relation also will be strengthened,” said Animesh Debbarma.
Debbarma thanked the Tripura Govt for changing its decision and allowing TBSE to continue both Roman and Bengali for uses of Kokborok examinations.
