AGARTALA, Feb 9 (TIWN): 361 TET Qualified job aspirants who passed TET 2022 organized a protest in front of Education Director’s office. They wanted to meet the Elementary Education Director Subashish Banerjee but as the Director was not present, they returned frustrated. The candidates tried meet the Director demanding their immediate recruitment to alleviate the shortage of teachers in the state’s schools. They appeared in STGT examination in 2022 and after checking the answer-sheet they assumed that they would pass the exam but the STGT result continues to be delayed.
A qualified candidate told media, “Several times we sought appointments for the past 2-3 months but we couldn’t meet the CM even for 5 minutes. Today also, we have failed to meet him”
“We, the 2022 TET Qualified candidates are demanding recruitment. We are total 361 in numbers. Candidates of TET-1 and TET-2 are eagerly waiting for offer letters. Only1 % of 38,000 candidates qualified in TET exams but these candidates even are not getting jobs”, said a qualified candidate.
