The victim Silina Aktar (32), D/O-Habibul Rahaman was attacked brutally by her husband Abdul Hak, a resident of Rajbari area in Kalapania, Sonamura.

Silina’s family members said she has been a victim of continuous physical and mental torture by her husband. They have four children.

The situation went so extreme that Silina had to stay for a month in her parent's home and one month with her husband. Two days back, her husband asked her to leave home, but Silina’s father Habibul Rahaman asked his son-in-law to drop her daughter at his home instead of asking him to go and bring back her.

Helpless Silina was staying in her sister-in-law’s house. On Thursday, Abdul hit her with a stick in her head which left her unconscious, and critically injured.

After getting the information, family members were rushed to the hospital. From Sonamura Hospital, Silina was referred to GB Hospital. Her health condition is now critical.
