AGARTALA, Feb 7 (TIWN): Additional District and Session Judge Court, West Tripura, judge Sunil Kumar Singh has sentenced convicted murderer Gautam Chakraborty to life imprisonment for brutally killing his wife on May 8, 2020 along with Rs. 10,000 fine.

On the day of the incident, the couple’s son Nayan Chakraborty was not at home. He found is mother’s dead body on next day when he arrived home.

Nayan Chakraborty lodged an FIR at AD Nagar PS.

Accused Gautam Chakraborty was absconding but police arrested him later. Yesterday, Gautam Chakraborty was convicted in the murder case and today, he has been sentenced to life imprisonment.
